Harder, shorter and less farmable elite areas, please!
I would like harder, unpredictable areas (random spawns, random monster types etc).
There are several areas specially target to give skilled players an extra challenge. Those areas are UW/FoW/SF/ToPK/Deep/Urzog. These areas are major challenges if, and only if, the party have no or little knowledge of what awaits them. Some of these areas are also almost impossible to do "on sight" without any beforehand knowledge even for an extremely competent party, the elite missions and the UW quests are example of this. The difficulty of the missions should depend less on the knowledge about the area and all traps and spawns and more on actually hard resistance/challenges.
The difficulty of all these areas drops considerable as soon as you have some initial knowledge. After a couple of times, the challenge of the areas has almost disappeared and they are only reduced to farming areas.
The main reason for this is predicatability!
What is the problem with traps and spawns when you know exactly beforehand, where and what is coming? A deadly trap is devastating for a new party, but trivial if you know where it is and can avoid it. When you can get 3 ppl party through Urzog and solo farm UW, something is absolutely wrong! Solo farmers are not insanely good players! They only know exactly what awaits them and have a build specialised for that!
The same reason that makes small party farming possible also takes away the challenge and replay value for skilled players looking for challenges. To compensate the predictablility with huge amounts of monsters and long missions only makes the grinding worse. If you have a working build, 50x10 monster only takes longer than 10x10 monster, it is not harder. Please give us harder, unpredictable, but also somewhat shorter elite missions!
Elite areas should be hard, have great replay value and not be easily routine farmable!
The unpredictability could be applied in all areas but too much lesser degree in easy areas. Of course unpredictablity would probably mean that you would risk "impossible" spawns in elite areas. But I would gladly pay that price to be able to play with all senses alert, carefully sweeping areas for pop-ups.

1. the idea sounds good.
2. implementing it on existing areas is not practical at ALL!!!
3. making NEW areas whith such attributes would be AWESOME!!!

what want is what everyone wants.... reoccurring variety in the pve... unfortunatly it would be too much work for anet to handle so i doubt it will ever happen.

You want unpredictability? Try those same areas with a PuG!
